SurreyFE – The Logo Competition

East Surrey College hosted the final of the logo competition for ‘SurreyFE’, a group set up by Nescot (North East Surrey College of Technology), Brooklands, Activate Learning (Guildford College) and East Surrey College with the purpose to collaborate and discuss new ideas and initiatives for FE education.

The brief was to design a new logo for ‘SurreyFE’. Students had the chance to be creative and came up with some great ideas. Each college put forward their strongest designs to take part in the competition.

Students from all the colleges displayed their final logo in the Winter Garden, where they each then presented individually to the judges. Students were able to discuss the thought process and concepts behind their design with the judging panel.

The winners from each college were announced and the overall winning logo design went to Charlotte, from East Surrey College.

Brooklands College was a close runner up, coming second place with a fantastic logo designed by Emily Housley, Level 3 Art & Design student. Emily is a talented artist and graphic designer. She came up with her design by taking reference from the existing colleges logos and combining elements, before perfecting her design. Well done Emily. We look forward to seeing much more of your work.
