Sustainability Week

At Brooklands College we are celebrating sustainability week in a number of ways:
Monday – Wearing Sustainable
We will be hosting a clothing drive for reDONATE in the main hall.
reDONATE Charity Clothes Collection help chosen partner charities fulfil their meaningful causes whilst your items get a new life! The charities in which they support are:
- The Dream Factory – Brightening the lives and encouraging hope for children and young adults aged between 3 and 25 years old who have life limiting or threatening conditions and/or severe disabilities by way of granting wishes and dreams.
- The Maypole Project – Relieving and helping preserve the mental and physical well-being of children and young adults who have complex medical needs and disabilities and to support their family members.
- Clothing Collective – Providing charity shop gift cards to those in need such as the homeless, refugees, victims of domestic violence and other vulnerable groups to be exchanged for clothing which suits them and in turn, provides funds for local partner charities to help them continue their work.
- The Voice of Epilepsy – Helping individuals with epilepsy connect and fight; to ensure not another moment is lost to seizures; to educate about seizure recognition and first aid and to increase general understanding of what can be an incredibly isolating condition.
Tuesday – Working Sustainable
Tuesday is all about our working environment and we will be running a litter pick! Let’s get together and clean up our space.
Wednesday – Eating Sustainable
Wednesday is all about Eating Green! Our catering team have put together a great sustainable themed menu for students and staff to enjoy.
