Phase One Progress – Estate Redevelopment Event

As we come to the end of 2024, we were delighted to update stakeholders on the progress that has been made so far on transforming Brooklands Technical College.

The exciting plans will transform the college and help us achieve our vision to be an inclusive centre for lifelong learning and to equip our learners with the professional behaviours, skills and values that they will need for their careers.

Christine Ricketts our CEO, and Allan Tyrer COO, shared images of the new internal spaces and explained how the college would be a secure and attractive learning environment focused on a central quad with enhanced student facilities. A new hair & beauty salon, restaurant, community hub, café, sports hall and gym, will be public facing where students will gain invaluable hands-on industry experience.

The estate building work started in July 2024 and three main buildings are now under redevelopment, with the first expected to be completed early next year. The project is phased over a two-year period to ensure minimum impact on students’ college experience.
