National Careers Week
Published on 01.03.20211 – 6 March 2021, a week dedicated to showing learners a broad insight into different career paths and options. The UK-wide event allows education providers to celebrate the wide spectrum of career opportunities and guidance available.
The Brooklands College Careers & Work Placements team have put together an exciting programme for our students this week including virtual talks from leading industry experts, helpful online resources & career-focussed activities as well as drop in sessions for our students to discuss their next options.
The assortment of activities for our students includes a guidance session with our Careers Advisor, an overview of Apprenticeships with our Apprenticeships Team Leader and an opportunity to explore Higher Education with HEON officer Jonathan.
During the week, students will hear from an array of guest speakers including Julie Dilloway Knapp, Vice President Cabin at Virgin Atlantic; Michelle Pidgen, Equality and Diversity at British Transport Police; Dawn Hunt, Manager at NHS Day Care; and Andrew Barrow, Global Alliances Marketing Director at Lenovo. Former Brooklands College students will also deliver virtual talks to our current students, giving them a better understanding of life after college together with their tips & experiences in their chosen careers.
