On Thursday 8th March the Level 3 Motorsport students flew to Geneva to attend the International Motor Show, one of the biggest events in the automotive calendar.
The students arrived in time to spend the majority of their first day enjoying the town, visited the lake and famous Jet D’Eau. They were up bright and early the next morning and spent the whole day at the show where all the major manufacturers were present. The Palexpo was full to bursting with everything a car fan could possibly want, from old style Morgan classics, Ferrari, McLaren, Bugatti, Koenigsegg to the futuristic flying cars and driverless technology.
Despite the crowds, the students managed to gain access to many of the stands and witnessed the launch of the new BMW M8. The trip was the first time the Engineering department have taken students abroad and it has proved to be a huge success. It will now be an annual event and we have our eyes on the largest motor show in the world for the future, Las Vegas, so watch this parking space…
