Media Competition Success
Published on 17.05.2023Congratulations to our media students who have made it through the first round of the WorldSkills UK Digital Media Production Competition 2023.
The students were required to produce 3 TikTok videos, promoting ‘Positive College Life’. These videos were accompanied with professional industry standard documentation covering: audience and production research skills, scriptwriting skills, generating pre-production paperwork, practical skills in operating camera, sound and editing film.
The students have been invited to take part in the second round which will take place at North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College, Hinckley on Monday, 26th June; joined by 11 other qualifying Colleges from the UK. The second round consists of an on-spot brief in which students undertake a media production activity to be completed within 2 hours.
Only 6 Colleges will be selected to the third and Final round to be held in November 2023 at the Birmingham NEC.
