Holidays Social Post Competition

In light of the festive season, our Level 1 Art & Design students competed against each other in a friendly competition where students were asked to create their very own social media post for the holidays, encompassing the college as a whole and promoting our new brand! All 18 social posts were carefully considered by their teacher – Amy Derrington, who shortlisted 5 entries.

The shortlisted entries were then judged by Christine Ricketts – Principal and CEO, and our marketing department, who decided on a winner. Many congratulations to Lexi Chambers on your winning entry!

Lexi explained her idea and creative process behind her winning entry: ‘My idea was to draw a christmas wreath that could symbolise a ring of unity to show how Brookland’s welcomes everyone and to highlight Brookland’s values and vision. I hand sketched my original wreath design with pencil and fineliner then I used Adobe Photoshop to import the image and added the festive message and the Brooklands colours as the background.’

While only one winner could be chosen, we have included all of the shortlisted entries below. Be sure to check them out!

Many thanks to every student who participated in our competition.
