HNC Policing Students Launch Foodbank

HNC Policing students are asking staff and fellow students to donate to the Runnymede Foodbank.

Ellie-May Simmons explained “ As a group, we really wanted to help others over the festive period. We have allocated ourselves tasks to get the campaign started and are looking forward to delivering the items to the charity in December. As Policing students, playing an active role within our community is very important to us all.”

In the UK, more than 14 million* people are living in poverty including 4.5  million children and foodbanks provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty.

The Foodbank will run from the 15th November to the 3rd December and all non-perishable items are really welcome including;

  • Cereal
  • Soup
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Tinned tomatoes/ pasta sauce
  • Tinned lentils, beans and pulses
  • Tinned meat
  • Tinned vegetables

The collection for all items will be in the Reception at the Weybridge Campus.
