Hair and Beauty students sweep the board at the National Hair Festival

For the second year running, the Level 3 Hairdressing and Specialist Make Up students have swept the board at the annual Blackpool Hair Festival in the NHF Avant Gard Competition. This year 14 pairs competed against 45 competitors for the top prizes and the teams produced some OUTSTANDING work and claimed all of the top three awards along with 4th, two joint 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 15th.

1st place to Catherine Munoz Surria & Bruna Scalise
2nd place to Phoebe Hill & Chyna Collis
3rd place to Megan Cater & Mia Galvin

Terrie Carter, Head of Curriculum said “Well done to all students and teams, they have worked extremely hard and had a great few days away representing Brooklands College in their usual style.”

Separately Chyna Collis has also been awarded The City and Guilds medal of Excellence Award and is now in the running for the City and Guilds Lion Award.
