Brooklands at the BBC!

Brooklands College Level 1 Media Studies students visited the BBC on Wednesday as part of the BBC’s Young Reporter initiative.

Visiting the iconic headquarters of BBC World News, students learnt how to differentiate fake news from real news, film professional field interviews with essential equipment and enjoyed an unforgettable Virtual Reality 360° video and audio experience.

To top the day off, the students armed themselves with questions to ask former ‘X Factor’ contestant turned journalist, Ashley John-Baptiste. Students were provided with fantastic insider knowledge and advice on how to start working for the BBC.
