Virtual learning, whether entirely online or in a blended format, has become increasingly embedded within the College’s teaching and learning infrastructure. Accessible from both at home and on our campuses, our digital hubs and online collaboration tools are a constant feature of the student experience.
Now in light of the COVID-19 outbreak and the closures of the College’s campuses, the opportunity is there for all to benefit from the robust digital learning and communication tools the College has in place.
In these first few weeks of remote learning, we have seen both staff and students embracing working remotely and in celebration of this positive attitude, are sharing a few highlights.
Our online lessons are doing well, we also thank Claire Desroches and Tom Farrow for delivering guest lectures to our Sports students. Feeling glam, Hair & Beauty students are developing their techniques by practising make-up and hairstyling on themselves. Eating right, Health and Social Care students have been creating diet plans to improve their nutritional health. Setting the mood, Business students are creating a 30-day music playlist. Working out, Sports students have been creating fitness routines which people can do at home. Time for a sweet treat, Cake Decoration students have been making sugarcraft flowers and wedding cakes.
We would like to thank everyone for the continued effort and support to ensure a good standard of education is maintained throughout these challenging times.
