Following a successful collaboration this summer, Elmbridge and Runnymede Youth Hub and COCO Primary Care Network (Chertsey Health Centre, Ottershaw Surgery, and Crouch Oak Family Practice) are uniting again for an Autumn Community Art Exhibition on Tuesday 28 November (11 am-4 pm) at the Tesco community room in Addlestone. It’s free and open to everyone.Â
For people who are contemplating their next step in life, or who are not in education, employment, or training, art can be an important way to express themselves. Art groups have become a key focus both for the COCO PCN social prescribing team – supporting individuals referred by their GP – and the Elmbridge and Runnymede Youth Hub that works alongside the DWP to support Universal Credit claimants, including those that wish to pursue a career in the creative arts industries.Â
The theme of the exhibition is community, not just the artwork but the stories of the artists themselves and how creativity has become a focal point in their lives. The occasion promotes unity among different cultural backgrounds, local talent, and conversations around mental health and well-being.
