This is a disciplined course that is designed to prepare young people for entry into the either the Emergency Services or Armed Forces.
The Level 2 Extended Certificate in Uniformed Protective Services is a disciplined course that is designed to prepare young people for entry into either the Emergency Services or Armed Forces. The course offers a mixture of practical and academic study in a range of subject areas. The Course includes a number of trips and visits that are designed to support learning within the classroom and form part of the ongoing assessment process. Trips include visiting the Houses of Parliament, a self-guided crime tour of London, overnight expeditions, the Imperial War Museum, climbing and orienteering. The course is continuously assessed through assignments, practical tasks and case studies.
There are two externally assessed units as part of this qualification. Students are also required to take part in work experience as part of their study programme.

Equipment needed
Required to purchase and wear Brooklands College uniform, this includes, boots, trousers, polo-shirt and jacket.
5 GCSEs at grade 3-9 (including English and maths) or Level 1 Preparation for Sport and Uniformed Services. If you do not have a grade 4 in English and maths, you will be required to study for this alongside your course.
The course is designed for students to progress to a level 3 Uniformed Public Services programme or entry into industry.
