You must have a Grade 4 or above GCSE in Maths and English Language before starting the course.
You will need to demonstrate an interest in working in the education sector. All applicants that are interested in applying for apprenticeship training will be required to attend an interview and undertake initial assessments. All candidates will be required to undergo a DBS check.
An assessor will regularly assess you in your work place environment providing on-going support to compile your portfolio of evidence which will also include written assignments. You will also attend college at either at the Weybridge or Ashford for 32 weeks.
The advanced apprenticeship will enable you to progress to higher level jobs within the sector.
This qualification will also provide you with an opportunity to progress to higher education to study the Teaching Assistant Foundation Degree.
