Campus redevelopment

The Plans

In May 2023, a planning application by Brooklands College and Cala Homes was submitted to Elmbridge Borough Council as part of the Brooklands Grove Project. The College was seeking permission to comprehensively upgrade the Brooklands College campus in Weybridge.
The development outlined the £45million reshaping of the Brooklands College campus into a purpose built, secure and attractive learning environment focussed on a central quad with enhanced student facilities, allowing for increased capacity for curriculum areas with growing demand.

The plan is to update the facilities and re-purpose the space, so it offers high quality education provision for the 21st Century.

  • The comprehensive upgrading of the entire campus with modern, real work environments.
  • Facilitating a growth in student numbers over the coming years, particularly in popular courses such as construction
  • Increasing the provision on site for local students requiring a high level of Special Education Needs
  • Enabling the college to run three T level pathway courses in Digital, Education as well as Care & Health
  • The construction of a focal building, providing a new entrance and community accessible facilities including a sports hall with 4 courts, a community hub, public access restaurant and café and a new hair & beauty salon.

The new campus will also feature a new dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) building.

The planning application was approved by Elmbridge Borough Council in December 2023 with building work expected to start on site in July 2024.
