Professor Craig Mahoney Chair of the Corporation Craig is CEO of Ed Tech startup company Parlo but was previously Vice-Chancellor at the University of the West of Scotland and then Vice-Chancellor at the University of Law. A dynamic public advocate of higher and further education, Craig is a research active academic with a strong interest in differentiated student-centred pedagogy, research informed teaching, e-learning, technology to support teaching, open educational resources, teaching excellence and global engagement. He is a passionate supporter of equality, diversity and inclusion and has developed or supported many programmes and change plans to eliminate discrimination and enable fairness for all. A chartered psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, Craig has been an internationally recognised performance psychologist for more than 30 years. | |

Jesse Adekoya Also a Consultant, Advisor, and town councillor, Jesse is a dedicated campaigner for better healthcare and youth work development. He is currently studying a part-time doctorate (DBA) on how to improve the healthcare system. He drives and develops services and advice, working with local authorities, charities and trusts. He enjoys building and supporting high performing teams; working with others on boards and forging partnerships and has a solid track record across large complex social care and health services. | |
Dr. Andrew Gilchrist Governor Andrew joined the Governing Body in 2020 and is Chair of the Audit Committee, having previously undertaken the same role at another FE college for a number of years. He works in the life assurance industry and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. | |
Adam Herriott Governor Adam is a Chartered Resource and Waste Manager, and has worked in the Resource and Waste Management Sector for over a decade. Having previously worked in local government and the private sector he now works at Climate Change NGO WRAP advising businesses and government, both in the UK and abroad, more towards a circular economy and Net Zero ambitions. | |

James Measures Governor James works in asset management as a financial analyst and has multiple years of experience as a business development professional working in a variety of roles and sectors from corporate companies to start-ups, charity and consulting work. James has been a youth leader and mentor for over ten years and joined the college as a Governor following two years of engagement with Brooklands through the Elmbridge Youth Hub, offering media production work experience to members of the college and wider community at Cornerstone the Church in Walton-on-Thames where he is also a Trustee | |
Hilary Omissi OBE Governor Hilary has spent most of her career in National, Regional and Local Government and various Non-Departmental Public Bodies, working on policy and operational work relating to children’s services, education and training. She also spent a period with Prince’s Trust, undertaking a special project for HRH the Prince of Wales, subsequently joining the South East Regional Council and becoming an Ambassador for the Trust. More recently she has undertaken a number of interim and consultancy roles in the Charity and Public Sectors. Hilary has significant experience as a Non-Executive and is currently Deputy Chair of a Careers Guidance Charity as well as being a Governor of Brooklands College. Hilary was awarded an OBE in 2006. | |
Jackie Pearson Governor Jackie is Chair of the Curriculum & Performance Review Committee. Jackie joined the College in 2013 and brings a wealth of experience in education. A former Head Teacher, Jackie gained acclaim from the DfE as Head Teacher of the “Most Improved School 2004-2007 for 5+A*-C and the Children’s Champion Award in 2008. | |

Fiona Capstick Governor Fiona has over 40 years experience in the technology industry. Having started her career in Brooke Bond Oxo and Conoco, she spent 30 years in IBM focussing on transformation projects both internally in the organisation as well as working with clients. She retired last year, from the Government of Jersey where she most recently led the technology organisation as CIO. Fiona lives in Weybridge and is honoured to sit on the Board of Brookland Technical College. | |
