The T Level foundation year in Education and Early course is designed for those that are looking to progress on to a T Level programme but do not yet meet the entry requirements.
Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above (including English Language and Maths), plus two additional GCSEs at grade 3 or above. If you don’t have a grade 4 in English and Maths, you will be required to study for this alongside your course.
This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in early years education, childcare or assisting teaching.
Entry Requirements: A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4, including both English and Maths. You will also need a Disclosure and Barring Service check when you start the course. Students may find it helpful if they have already studied at Level 2.
Assessment: The course is assessed through 2 written examinations and an Employer set project – a supervised project, devised and set by NCFE.

Students are required to take part in a substantial industry placement that runs for a minimum of 315 hours (45 days) overall and will therefore give students practical insights into their sector and an opportunity to embed the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom.
This technical qualification will support students onto a range of progression routes including employment, higher education and higher apprenticeships.
