Youth Hub

Brooklands College, Elmbridge and Runnymede Borough Councils are pleased to announce the launch of the Youth Hub in September 2021

The Youth Hub will offer a one stop shop of intensive employment and learning support for young people who are:

  • Universal Credit Claimants
  • Unemployed
  • Facing redundancy 
  • Struggling to sustain employment. 

The Youth Hub service will include initial advice and guidance, coaching/ mentoring support, access to training courses, together with opportunities for professional development and employer engagement. The service will facilitate onward positive destinations for young people (18 -24) into training and/ or employment in the locality.

The Youth Hub will work actively to facilitate the participation of local residents and businesses to offer opportunities for young people;

  • Employment and training programmes
  • Apprenticeships and Traineeships
  • Work trials
  • Access to work support
  • The UK Government’s start scheme
  • Local Surrey initiatives such as the Preparing to work in Film project, that will support young people with a desire to work in the film industry.

The Youth Hub will be based at Brooklands College (Weybridge campus) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays with two additional satellite sites in Addlestone (Thursday)and Egham (Wednesday).

22nd September 2021, Youth Hub Breakfast: Thank you to all participants who came to our Youth Hub breakfast meeting to discuss this fantastic project. In partnership with Elmbridge Borough Council and Runnymede Borough Council, the Youth Hub will provide training and education opportunities to young people in the local community.
